God is at work in the earth! It can be hard to understand this truth, particularly when you take a look at any of our news headlines. Trials, tribulations, and pressures are mounting and some regions of the Church are under severe persecution.
Much of what we see in the headlines may sound ominous and even cause fear, but we know Who lives on the inside of us! As 1 John 4:4 says, “Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.” Praise the Lord!
God wants us to be bold, courageous, and take our stand in prayer, no matter what current events may say.
We are working with the Most High God as co-laborers on the earth to expand the kingdom of God, so pray in other tongues, pray in the Spirit and watch the mysteries of God unfold. “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18)
God is working in the earth, but because the times are so perilous, we must be awake and sensitive to hear from the Holy Ghost and pray in the Spirit. Headlines reflect what is happening in the natural and give a glimpse as to the battle that is happening in the heavenlies. We must pray His plans are brought forth and that a great multitude of people would be saved in these last days!
As watchers, we must pray for our leaders in America and Israel to hear from heaven and make the right decisions. We must pray they operate with discernment and receive divine wisdom and strategies. “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
We must pray for Israel as she is surrounded by nations that daily threaten her very existence. Even at this hour, the United States military is positioned in the Mediterranean to strike Syrian targets and defend Israel. Israel declared they are ready and have recently put up more Iron Domes, one close to Jerusalem. While they are ready, Israel cannot forget the surprise attacks on Yom Kippur in 1973 that led to a full scale war to defend their Covenant Land.
Be especially in prayer over the next few days of September 10–14 for our Jewish friends around the globe. September 11 is the anniversary of 9/11 and Benghazi. The Jewish people are experiencing the High Holy Days and will move into a time of deep reflection on Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement on September 13–14.
Even though it appears that the world is on a perilous course, remember who put the planets in orbit and holds you in the palm of His Hand. Remember what King Hezekiah prayed when facing the Assyrians in 1 Kings 19:19: “Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God.”
May it be so Lord, that all may know that you alone are God!
Amen ma,
I do believe the our Father is at work and I will surely pray much more and watch Him work His wonders.
Appreciate your ministry.
