Angels All Around, Part 1

Angels All Around, Part 1

Any time a main event occurs on the calendar of God, the Holy Ghost will begin to surround that event with great activity—signs, wonders, miracles, and supernatural activity in many places, using many things and many people.

The First Coming of the Lord to the earth, which we are celebrating right now, is an example of that. So much supernatural heralding surrounded Jesus’ birth. Just take a look:

  • The priest, Zacharias, was in the temple burning incense and an angel appeared to him announcing the miraculous birth of his son, John, to him and his elderly barren wife, Elisabeth. John was the cousin of Jesus and the forerunner of Jesus’ ministry. (Luke 1:5–13)
  • Six months into Elizabeth’s pregnancy, an angel called Gabriel was sent from God to the town of Nazareth to Mary. Mary got the announcement from the angel that Jesus was going to be her son. (Luke 1:26–33)
  • After Jesus was born in Bethlehem, shepherds were watching over their flocks one night and an angel from the heavenly realm came and announced Jesus’ birth. After that, a whole angel choir joined that angel to celebrate. (Luke 2:8–14)
  • The wise men—many say they were from China or Iraq—followed a star to see the child. (Matthew 2:1–11)

Our God is a sign-giving God, and I believe as we get closer to the Second Coming of the Lord, we’ll see more signs, wonders, and miracles. I believe that we need to be aware of them, and we need to expect them. Over the next few days, I want to share some stories with you that will help make you aware of angels and their involvement in this world and, more importantly, in your life.
